The nonprofit-umbrella-based media arts organization, Lights Camera Read, created the Thrillumentary “Investment in Movies” Educational Program to provide a way for donors and investors to be able to grow artists, enrich their business and make a difference in the arts in New York City and internationally. Plus, an “Investment in Movies” can be a lot of fun with bonus value and benefits that surpass traditional donations or investments.
We are Lights Camera Read, a media arts organization based in New York City. We’ve
been around since 2009 and our mission is to empower emerging performing artists as well as promote education and literacy at branches of the New York Public Library via DigiComArts workshops and Magic Neighbors performances. Library branches served across New York City include Inwood, Morrisania, Grand Central, Columbus and more. We also have media literacy educational programs available for our performing artists.
Our founder has either directed or had as clients actors who have won “Oscars,” “Emmys,” “Golden Globes,” “Tonys” and “Platinum Pias.” He oversees our artistic and educational projects.
- Thrillumentary. is the film that had the “making of” documented daily at the rate of 3 steps a day. This daily documentation was done in a course format at Art Gush that started weekly in August of 2016.
- Art Gush Method of Digital Filmmaking. This system transforms the behind-the-scenes of the work being done daily on “Thrillumentary” into an online series of fresh courses for emerging or professional filmmakers that breaks the filmmaking journey down into just 3 steps a day, 7 days a week.
- Platinum Pias Community Awards Show for Artists. This show has been in existence annually since 2010 and recognizes artists of all kinds – including musicians, writers, filmmakers etc. – who are making a difference in their communities, including creative individuals involved in our projects.
- And many more!
