“Thrillumentary” is a theater/web/film mystery/thriller about an NYC media-maker who must solve the murder of a beautiful young woman to save his community awards show.
Scheduled auditions for the reading and trailer of “Thrillumentary” will be on Saturday January 7th from 11am to 12noon. And then briefly from 12:00pm to 12:45pm there will be an “open call.” Auditions will be at the Producer’s Club, 358 West 44th Street New York, NY between Eighth and Ninth Avenues. To audition, please submit through the “Backstage” casting notice below.
The production will first be done as a theater piece, then a web series and finally a feature film. The awards show in the endeavor recognizes artists making a difference in New York City much like the Platinum Pias.
In the story, the media-maker interviews New Yorker suspects causing the theme to become “Man against himself” as he is drawn into a swirling world of cynicism versus idealism.
Now, with time running out, if he doesn’t catch the killer soon he could be charged with the crime himself!
A little side note about the “Thrillumentary” undertaking is that for those of you who haven’t heard yet, Lights Camera Read has developed a new educational program called the Art Gush Digital Filmmaking Method.
This technique makes use of “Thrillumentary” as a learning tool and is intended for emerging filmmakers and those who have thought about making movies in a new way, but never knew quite how.
The Art Gush program provides an easier system for creating a feature film thriller that is taught through weekly courses that in turn are broken down into three steps a day.
These steps are given to students in weekly installments in the form of a video and PDF.
Lights Camera Read is using the thriller “Thrillumentary” to demonstrate the process.
